چکیده

Introduction: Many vibration transport and technological machines (VTTM) such as conveyors, screens, crushers, etc. operate in a high-frequency mode, or above resonance. Resonance occurs during machine start slowdown, resulting sharply rising values of the amplitude velocity oscillations. affects VTTMs adversely due to increased dynamic loads reducing machinery operating life reliability causing noise. Purpose study: We aim provide theoretical substantiation for possibility apply automotive shock absorbers VTTM oscillatory process control develop an example practical implementation device. Methods: The method controlling processes lies use dual-mode absorbers. In offer minimum resistance motion. resonance increases, therefore, decreases predetermined value. Results: simulate order determine characteristics damping device, which ensures suppression resonant oscillations but does not affect process. propose new technical device implementing required oscillation characteristics. is made form hydro-pneumatic absorber, similar terms design. Such design makes it possible slight machine’s useful (operating) vibration, but, at same time, increases significantly case amplitudes. originality our study development type hydraulic utility model patent has been obtained. scientific novelty mathematical description with software analysis according developed model, results computer simulation absorber operation.

Measurement of Equivalent Stiffness and Damping of Shock Absorbers

This paper describes a new testing and analysis methodology for obtaining equivalent linear stiffness and damping of automotive shock absorbers for use in system-level chassis and vehicle computer aided engineering (CAE) models for noise and vibration prediction. Since most of the system-level CAE models in a vehicle are linear in nature, equivalent linear parameters of chassis components are m...

Resonant damping of kink oscillations of cooling coronal magnetic loops

The simultaneous effect of amplification due to cooling and damping due to resonant absorption on the kink oscillations of coronal loops is studied. The governing equation describing the kink oscillations is derived in the thin tube thin boundary layer approximation. The cooling time is assumed to be much larger than the oscillation period, and the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) method is used...

Six Sigma methodology applied to minimizing damping lag in hydraulic shock absorbers

Purpose: The aim of this paper is to identify the root cause of the temporary decrease of the damping force during the early stage of the compression phase of the stroking cycle, the so called damping lag, to describe measures of the phenomenon and to present methods for optimizing the design towards minimizing this (negative) effect. Design/methodology/approach: Theoretical background is prese...

Electromagnetic Shock Absorbers

Automobiles and trucks have shock absorbers to damp out the vibration experienced due to roughness of the roads. However, energy in conventional shock absorbers gets dissipated as heat and not used in any way. Regenerative electromagnetic shock absorbers provide means for recovering the energy dissipated in shock absorbers. Electromagnetic shock absorbers for potential use in vehicles are fabri...
